Formed in 2009, Derrival is a band composed of 5 members, just barely out of high school, from Langley B.C. Since their formation they have strived to constantly couple new sounds with lyrical content relevant to local issues and personal experiences. Their sound has been compared to bands such as Said the Whale, Local Natives and We Are the City. After two releases and performing extensively around the lower mainland, they headed back into studio to record a second EP set to release in the summer of 2013. On March 1st, they released the single track 'Victoria Day', from the EP, recorded and produced by Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, Tough Lovers, Gravemaker) at Echoplant Sound. The band feels the EP is their most innovative work yet, compiled of songs from the last few years and encompassing in its entirety the theme 'Youth'.
